The foreland basin of the northern Cuba in the southeastern Gulf of Mexico is in the North American plate, the Caribbean plate, and the junction of the Yucatan plate, which is subject to plate collision and compact geological conditions. Many scholars have fully understood the evolution process of the region in response to the tectonic evolution process in the region. This paper from the actual data, not only considering the cracking effect between the North American and South American plates, but also considering the cracking effect between the two sub-structures of the Bahamian-Florida and Yucatan plates. In the region, around 185 Ma, during the Early Jurassic period, North America and South America were separated from the northwest-southwest direction, and the North American plate boundary formed a passive continental margin and entered the rift deposition stage. 166 Ma, Late Middle Jurassic, plate separation continued. At the same time, the Yucatan plate in the North American continent began to separate and entered the drifting stage(or 150 Ma). At the same time, the Gulf of Mexico; At the same time, during the counterclockwise self-rotation of the Yucatan plate, about 160 Ma, the Bahamian-Florida plate moved south-south and continued to crack to about 140 Ma. Early Cretaceous, the north side of the Yucatan plate reunited with the North American plate, while the Florida-Bahamas plate stopped moving to the southeast. The Gulf of Mexico also stopped expanding, and after the expansion began, the platforms on both sides were lifted. At the same time, the Pacific plate subducted the Caribbean plate to form The proto-Caribbean arc. 100 Ma(K-T boundary), a global sea level rise occurred. 60 Ma, the Late Cretaceous period, proto-Caribbean arc collided with the North American plate, and the proto-Caribbean arc reversed the North American plate to form Cuban folds and thrust belts.
